Biopolymers/bioplastics, are biodegradable materials made from biological material and have similar textures and properties such as plastic, however unlike plastic, they cause less pollution and can be water soluble.

The work made is a material exploration of agar based biopolymers and an investigation of repurposing loom waste. At the end of the garments' life cycle, the agar biopolymer can be placed into the compost or dissolved in water while the remaining loom waste can be separated and disposed of in its proper place.

The emphasis of this material exploration is show a more sustainable alternative to making, however it is not the ultimate solution to tackle waste and pollution.
