Jewellery as a wearable art form can be physically touched by the wearer. In Extra Daily, the goal is to create a series of jewellery which
provides a daily playful experience for wearers. “Extra” represents the colours, materials, and sizes which are not used as usual in people’s minds and “Daily” is the characteristic given in order to make this series not only fun to wear but also a piece of jewellery that can be worn every day. In the “Moiré Ring” and “Lenticular Ring”, tap & die technique is used to add interactions in the play process. Wearers can purchase different moiré or lenticular illusions and then change the acrylic by dissembling. This design is inspired by assembly toys. In “Rotation Rings”, acrylic circles will rotate following wearers’ physical motion and this ring can be played freely with the minimum motion.
