Who Made Me is a personal narrative that reflects on the various individuals who made an impact on my life and made me into who I am today. My series of work will act as a timeline to help commemorate these memorable individuals. These stories are about Mrs. Murphy who was my grade one and two teacher who died in August 2018, Mr. Dalton my high school drama teacher and Teacher Advisor who died in September 2018, my family dogs who passed and those with us now, and a moment within my romantic relationship that strengthened our bond. My materials consist of brass, sterling silver, 14k yellow gold, gems, pearls and marbles. My work was fabricated to honour how everyone I previously mentioned invested their time and effort in me. I wanted to pour my all into making these celebratory pieces inspired by my loved ones and our relationships.
