My thesis collection of children’s knitwear and accessories sets that are made with the intent to be a gender-neutral approach at fun and playful knitwear’s and accessories. The overall theme that I am working with is making playful and accentuated types of knit from exploring new ways to innovate time-honored Irish cable knit styles of knitting in my heritage and also looking at characteristics of old classic board games for some focal points for some of the pairings in the collection. I am using my knitted tubes throughout my work to represent playful qualities in the knits. I have a total of 3 sets and each set includes a sweater, blanket, and corresponding accessories.
