Dehumanized is both a conceptual and production jewellery collection that intends to reflect the reality of dehumanization in the fashion industry. The body of work visually displays aspects of dehumanization to the audience, with visual representations of human anatomy and wearability of the pieces. I have intensively explored and analyzed different aspects of dehumanization in the fashion industry, including the inertness and substitutability of models in the modeling industry and the pack mentality of consumers in the fashion realm. Each piece of jewellery in my collection showcases dehumanization, creating emotion and connection to the audience through the manipulation of metal and recreation of body components in twist structures.
