Architecture is one of the principal elements reflected in the history of nations. My thesis is based on the concept of Chinese traditional architecture seen in South China gardens. It focuses on the architectural details of Qinghui garden to create a wearable jewellery collection. The Ming and Qing dynasties’ culture of Lingnan ancient gardening style architecture are the main elements in my jewellery designs. Lingnan garden houses exist as a cultural inheritance. At the same time, many of the traditional values portrayed within these designs also align with modern day values of sustainability. This makes them particularly important in jewellery design even today.
