My thesis is a mini menswear collection using custom hand-woven denim and functional fabrics. My collection is a combination of craft and new technology in textile taking inspiration from western cowboy style, active wear, and classic jean brands such as Levi’s, Lee, and Wrangler. The main elements of design for this collection are curved lines, decorative spots, jewels, and studs paying homage. This project includes processes of warping, setting up a loom, weaving, natural dyeing, fashion design, pattern drafting, sample making, sourcing materials, photography, videography, and finished garment making.
